ADAS Simulation Development Engineer - Virtual Test & Simulation

THE POSITION

• Development and maintenance of SiL- and MiL- simulation environments based on state-of-the-art automotive simulation software (e.g., IPG CarMaker) for development, verification, and release of ADAS/AD functions
• Development and maintenance of software and tools for the automatic evaluation and reporting of simulation test results
• Development and maintenance of CI/CD/CT pipelines in Jenkins
• Close collaboration and alignment with international colleagues and internal stakeholders of the provided simulation environments and tools

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, computer science, robotics or comparable
• 2-5 years of experience in simulation/software engineering
• Experience in agile software development (Scrum/Kanban)
• Expert programming skills in Python
• Advanced programming skills in C/C++
• Experience with code repositories (e.g., GitHub)
• Good knowledge of test automation and continuous testing
• High level of ownership and quality orientation
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will only sponsor internal Continental employees for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, computer science, robotics or comparable
• 5-7 years’ experience in simulation/software engineering
• Knowledge of open- and closed-loop simulation environments and their application in automotive release processes
• Knowledge of ADAS/AD functions
• Experience in IPG CarMaker
• Experience in MATLAB/Simulink
• Experience in Java/Groovy
• Experience in Unix/Linux environments
• Experience with cloud computing / AWS
• Proficient in spoken and written Spanish or German
