Supplier Quality Manager - Project (m/f/diverse)

We are looking for you to support our area User Experience at the location Babenhausen near Aschaffenburg.

Your tasks will focus on the following activities:

  • SQM Representative in Project team from quotation phase until project targets of the manufacturing location(s) are achieved (gate G80).
  • Support in-time sourcing and to guarantee Sourcing Decision signature according signature rules.
  • Ensure Maturity Evaluation availability and updates from project team towards SQM CI.
  • Escalation at Business Area level for critical topics during component introduction
    • Early risk identification and mitigation, management of component introduction within the project
    • To feedback continuously APQP / PPAP status from SQM towards project team/ engineering
    • Implementation and controlling the efficiency of the defined component introduction process (procedures, guidelines and tools)
    • Initiation of corrective actions in case of project related deviations of processes and or KPIs
    • Giving input to initiate supplier improvement programs
  • In line with Continental global quality understanding "Quality First", strive and drive zero defect requirement to the supplier base
  • Implementation zero defect culture within the SQM organization
  • Ensuring best in class "consistent and sustainable" supplier quality performance to support perfect launches and no spills

  • Technical academic degree or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in different SQM (production / customer quality functions etc.)
  • Professional experience in quality function and/or in project management, preferably in automotive industry 
  • Experience with supplier management, continuous improvement, quality assurance, industrial engineering, production, escalation management
  • Experience in working & coordination of international teams on quality and project issues 
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills
  • Very good written and spoken German language skills
  • Understanding for different foreign cultures (NA / Asia, several European cultures)
