The Business Area (BA) Sustainability Manager is responsible for driving sustainability related activities in the BA in alignment with the Group Sector and BA sustainability ambitions, targets and roadmap, which form an integral part of the business strategy. This includes leading and/or supporting projects and/or consulting on topics such as carbon neutrality, circular economy and responsible value chain thereby balancing short-term financial targets with mid-term/long-term sustainability ambitions.

  • Degree in Natural Science, MINT, Business or similar or equivalent experience.
  • Sustainability knowledge: A deep understanding or interest in sustainability principles, standards, frameworks, and best practices. Knowledge of social responsibility issues and stakeholder engagement, including community engagement, human rights, and labor practices.
  • Business acumen: Understanding of business operations and strategy, financial analysis, and risk management. 2. Project management: Ability to manage complex sustainability projects, including developing project plans, managing budgets, and coordinating with stakeholders. 
  • Collaboration: Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, marketing, and legal teams, to integrate sustainability into business operations.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and influence others, including developing sustainability strategies, driving change, and inspiring action. 
  • Communication skills: Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate sustainability goals, progress, and results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-cultural communication: Ability to communicate effectively across cultures and languages.
  • Global sustainability issues: Knowledge of global sustainability issues, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • International regulations: Understanding of international environmental and social regulations.
