Customs & Trade Compliance Analyst Jr.

Responsible for supporting the operational management of foreign trade, ensuring compliance with applicable customs and tax regulations for a company with an IMMEX/Maquila program. Duties include reviewing documentation, coordinating imports and exports, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and managing inventory control under Annex 24. Additionally, the role involves collaborating in audits, reports, and the implementation of improvements in customs compliance processes.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, Customs, Logistics, or related fields.
• 1-2 years of experience in foreign trade operations, customs compliance, or international logistics (preferably in IMMEX/Maquila companies).

Technical Knowledge:

• Knowledge of the Customs Law and its regulations, foreign trade rules, and IMMEX programs.
• Experience handling import/export declarations, tariff classification, and applicable regulations.
• Familiarity with Annex 24 and Annex 31 (desirable).
• Understanding of Incoterms and their cost and responsibility implications.

Skills:

• Attention to detail and analytical ability to identify compliance risks.
• Organization and priority management in a dynamic environment.
• Teamwork and effective communication with different departments.
• Proactivity and ability to solve operational and regulatory issues.

Languages & Technology:

• Basic to intermediate English (ability to read documents and basic communication).
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, data lookup, and analysis).
• Experience with ERP and customs management systems (SAP)
