Environmental Engineer

• Follow up on legal regulations and evaluate possible impacts on processes and facilities         
• Ensure that all legally required permits are applied for in due time and that permit conditions are evaluated and implemented
• Check compliance with legal and internal regulations and implement measures
• Represent Continental in negotiations with responsible authorities about Environment matters
• Conduct occupational safety checks before start of operation of equipment and machines  
• Ensure a systematic and structed management of waste, waste water, air emission and handing of substances
• Develop methods and provide regular training to environmental contamination and fires
• Develop concepts, procedures and work instructions for Environment, check regularly and improve continuously
• Conduct risk analyses and prepare concepts and emergency preparedness plans
• Conduct structured root cause analyses of environmental incidents (contamination, spills, etc) define and implement sustainable measures
• Plan, steer and control the own disciplinary employees in order to achieve the objectives and the budget 

• Bachelor's Degree: natural science, environmental or chemical engineering 
• Advanced English
• Experience: 
  • In the area of environmental, protection and occupational health & safety
  • Environmental Legal requirements 
  • In Audit (ISO 14001, Sustainability)
  • Leadership people 
  • In multi site
