Our Sumter location is seeking a Summer Intern to join our Engineering Maintenance department. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and leadership skills, is dependable and accountable.

THE POSITION

• Build successful working relationships with members of a cross-functional team
• Develop a general understanding of the various roles, processes, and procedures that support product development within an Engineering | Manufacturing Group
• With direction from the team, learn how to prioritize many competing tasks and project responsibilities to meet objectives on-time
• Develop understanding of specific areas of skill and disciplines of interest within all areas of Engineering (maintenance, controls and drives and projects)
• Learn how to use an Engineering Change Management process to document designs and changes to designs, allowing parts to be built.
• Identify areas for professional development outside of core engineering curriculum

Basic Qualifications
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Have completed your a minimum of your Sophomore year in status at a 4-year University
• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related field
• Be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Have required work authorization
