PLT Production Scheduler

The PLT Production Scheduler will:

This position is responsible for creating a production schedule that best balances the needs and objectives of both Manufacturing and Sales and Marketing.  Through the use of various types of information, the Production Scheduler will minimize the number of changeovers, efficiently schedule the use of all machines, compare actual production to the production schedule, and maintain an appropriate finished goods inventory.

While working in a team environment, the Production Scheduler will achieve the following:  both internal and external customer satisfaction, quality planning, safety, low cost production, and personal satisfaction.

1. Schedule Tire Building and Curing
2. Understand Plant Constraints (Build Rates, Machine Rates, etc…) and apply that knowledge to the weekly schedule.  Maintain Planning Database to manage these constraints.
3. Minimize the Number of Changeovers
4. Monitor and Report Line Item Attainment
5. Communicate Production Schedule and Schedule Changes
6. Work with the Supply Chain Planners to ensure correct requirements are being ordered
7. Maintain schedule in SAP Mold planning systems
8. Special Projects as assigned by the Key Supply Chain Planner
9. Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associates degree in related field.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Bachelor's Degree

• The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. 
• The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling, with comprehensive training provided.

The starting annual salary for this role is $65,320 a year.
