Belt Technician / Safety

• Work in cooperation with ESH manager on current goals and expectations from within Continental.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. Including but not limited to OSHA, MSHA and DOT.
• Monitor compliance with current ESH legislation, with Continental's internal regulations.
• Support in the planning and execution of needed investments in occupational health and safety, environmental protection and fire prevention.
• Manage emergencies and provide guidance on emergency response plans.
• Participate in accident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Assist in incident investigation and reporting.  
• Travel to jobsites to observe work being performed.
• Report employee complaints regarding unsafe working conditions to Management.
• Make recommendations on corrections for unsafe practices or conditions.
• Lead employee safety meetings and training.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

1 to 3 years of experience in conveyor belt maintenance preferred

Up to 2 years of mining experience preferred.
