Shipping Associate – LTL

THE POSITION

• Primary duty is to utilize SAP to process data uploaded to the computer for product that needs to be packed.
• Create BOL for daily shipments and Schedule daily pickups with carriers.
• Create ASN using external customer websites.
• Create invoices and customs paperwork for international shipments.
• Operate pallet jack and sit-down forklift as necessary for shipment fulfillment.
• Operate packaging equipment used to support packaging process, including palletizing, labeling, weighing and wrapping outbound shipments.
• Load and unload product from trailers.
• Accurately pick and count product from storage locations for production and/or shipping.
• Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines to ensure all safety requirements are met.
• Perform all other activities as directed by your supervisor.

Additional Supporting Responsibilities

• Palletize, label, weigh and wrap outbound shipments.
• Accurately pick and count product from storage locations for production and/or shipping.
• Maintain a clean working environment utilizing the 5S program.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
• If you have no previous forklift experience, you must be willing to be trained on various forklift equipment.
• Must be able to successfully pass forklift training program during initial onboarding period.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse/distribution center/manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 3 months of forklift experience.
• Experience using pallet jack.
• Experience using sit-down, cherry picker, swing mast, and walkie rider forklift equipment.
• Previous experience with SAP.
• Strong Communication skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office
