Tire Uniformity Technician


1. Ensure the use of correct uniformity and geometry limits according to QM Central and OEM requirements.
2. Ensure that the correct tire markings (OE and Replacement) are applied based on the PoMS document and Customer Specific Requirements.

3. Participate in yield improvement activities by monitoring daily warehouse and TU/TG yields and trends.
4. Initiate shift trouble-shooting activities in case of major uniformity issues. Participate in corrective actions.
5. Participate in activities regarding customer satisfaction with regards to tire uniformity complaints and co-ordinate preparation of 8D reports, when required.

6. Ensure compliance to IATF 16949, legal, customer and internal requirements as required in his / her area.
7. Ensure implementation and adherence to Central QM policies and procedures concerning tire uniformity, balancing and tire geometry
8. Assist in plant procedures and work instructions regarding TU and TG testing.
9. Assist in daily and monthly Yield reports.

10. Ensure control tires are produced, tested, analyzed and actions are taken as necessary.
11. Ensure that daily/shift functionality tests are performed with the standard tires and corrective measures are performed where deviations are found.
12. Assure appropriate frequency and quality of vector separation (de-coupling) and optimization
13. Assist annual Central QM cross check exercise (preparation, test activities, corrective actions).

14. Ensure the implementation of standards according to CBS and ensure that the CBS tools are being applied correctly.
15. Participate as a champion for the area of responsibility for an area wide initiative such as 5's or TPM. 
16. Actively participate in the CBT coaching reviews of level 1 teams and assist the level 1 teams in achieving the defined targets and realising the innovations coming from the level 1 team.

Qualifications include previous experience in a manufacturing facility in a quality role.

1 year in manufacturing industry with Bachelor's degree
(classroom projects accepted in lieu of professional experience as a preferred requirement).

2-3 years working on team projects.
