We are looking for you, Principal Software Engineer & Product Owner – Scene Interpretation (m/f/diverse), to support our area Autonomous Mobility at the location Eschborn.

Your tasks will focus on the following activities:

Product owner in an agile team for parking space detection and interpretation of the environmental surroundings of a highly automated vehicle at low speeds
Technical guidance and alignment with other developers as technical lead
Definition and evaluation of functional requirements for automated parking space detection and scene interpretation
Alignment with other components on solution level to efficiently plan program increments
Responsibility for the component backlog
Actively work in a series project
Representation of the component towards customers

Academic degree (preferably PhD) in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, engineering cybernetics or comparable education
Many years of professional experience in the above mentioned field of activity
Proven experience in the development of algorithms, preferably for scene interpretation.
Experience in the development of driver assistance functions (or similarly complex automated systems) and experiences with corresponding sensors (camera, ultrasonic sensor...)
Experience in a series project
Initial leadership experience is an advantage
Strong system understanding of complex chain of effects of sensors, functions and actuators, including human machine interface
Very good knowledge of C++ and some scripting language (preferably Python)
Very good German and English language skills written and spoken
Analytical & interdisciplinary thinking, interest in complex tasks
Self-reliant, well-structured and organized working style
Very good team working skills in an international environment
Customer oriented behavior
