Experience our Tire Manufacturing world and learn every relevant Production and Engineering processes used in day to day operation!

• Introduction to Tire production processes, Rubber Technologies, Material’s flow and Components in order to gain in-depth operational knowledge about the production process, with focus on Engineering Management; 
• During the training period a part will be focusing on shop floor experience, in Manufacturing location and the second part of the program will be focusing on introduction into automation & digitalization engineering and the implication for the Organization Trainee pool in Central projects;
• Be part of the Central team and fulfill central training plan in order to gain technical knowledge, competencies and capabilities in the processes of the engineering management and manufacturing environment and to develop an understanding of the tire business and structure;
• The training will be dynamic and will be done through rotations to other departments in order to get an insight into the collaboration of all departments;
• Establish and maintain a network throughout the plant, Central functions and International Trainees;
• Introduction into engineering performance indicators and analytical reporting tools and other manufacturing applications, standards and norms, that are relevant to Automotive Industry.

• University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Quality);
• Fluent in English and Romanian;
• Relevant internships/junior positions in manufacturing field;
• International experience (e.g. internships or studies abroad) - is a strong plus;
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, a dedicated team player who enjoys working in a multicultural environment;
• Strong ability in analytical/structured thinking;
• Project Management experience represents a plus;
• An open-minded and ambitious personality, high level of commitment;
• International mobility and willingness to work abroad.

The eXplore Tire Manufacturing & Engineering Graduate Program covers a time frame of up to 18 months and is split into two main phases.

Home Plant Phase I – Onboarding & Shopfloor experience

Within the first 6 months, you will become familiar with the main functions of the Manufacturing & Engineering organization and the daily operations at one of our tire plants located in your home region, leading up to our high-quality tire products. 

Home Plant Phase II - First Projects and International Exposure 

Over the following second 6 months, you will gain a deeper understanding of your roles and responsibilities. Starting this phase, you will participate in the Trainee Meeting Week at the central location in Hanover, Germany where you will meet your peers and together receive your first global group assignments. 

Central Phase – Group Projects, Field Trips & Activities

During the third phase of your graduate program, you will spend 6 out of 9 months in Hanover alongside other eXplore Trainees from various locations worldwide. This experience will allow you to familiarize yourself with how the global organization is collaboration effectively, further improve your project management skills and build up your own network.  Besides this, you will experience teambuilding activities, trips to other Continental locations together with your trainee peers, contribute to strategic and global projects as well as gain insights into our marketing & sales organization to get to know the full value chain of our Tires.
