Senior Industrialization Engineer - Hydraulic Hose Expert

The Industrialization Engineer (Senior Expert) is responsible to establish & roll out reliable product and process industrialization and also to lead new product launches by coordinating APQP activities and managing the Product Life Cycle (PLC), while ensuring strong operational execution during product and process development. The role focuses on guaranteeing process stability, reproducibility, and optimization for new materials and technologies, and on strengthening the product value chain through the implementation of robust and reliable processes and tools. Additional targets include meeting and improving safety, quality, productivity, ergonomics, and environmental requirements, as well as applying data-driven decision making through process capability analysis and statistical data analysis. A strong product focus is required to drive continuous improvement and support efficient development and series production.

Product Industrialization & Process Industrialization:

  • Manage product specific ramp-up or change projects (e.g. team setup, interfacing to business / customer organization, project planning and control, etc.) for e.g. new raw materials or new / relocated production processes.
  • Translate business / project / product specific requirements into tangible impacts on plant (e.g. invest, capacity, capability) and assess plant readiness
  • Plan and implement investments for project / product specific tooling and devices (e.g. Equipment, tools, jigs, gauges) according to standards
  • Maintain standards related to production control plan requirements by BA (in close cooperation with Quality) according to standards provided by PD Material Processing Engineering and Sector.
  • Maintain template process FMEA and ensure proper implementation by the BA Plants as needed according to conditions and standards.

Product and Process Improvement:

  • Drive production processes optimization regarding quality, efficiency and capability based on data and in cooperation with ME (manufacturing engineering).
  • Drive product optimization (e.g. raw material replacement) of articles in alignment with Product Development.
  • Support proactive solving of quality issues regarding customer complaints and reject rate (in close cooperation with Q)

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Execute product and process industrialization performance (KPI) monitoring and reporting (e.g. regarding cost, lead time, quality of product and process industrialization activities such as ramp-up projects).
  • Implement measures to improve product and process industrialization performance.

Standardization:

  • Drive regional implementation of product and process industrialization standards ▪ Provide feedback and input for further development of standards regarding product and process industrialization processes (e.g. definition of production parameters, production flow plans, production control plans and work instructions, etc.), product and process industrialization IT tools (e.g. FMEA software) to Sector.

Votre profil

  • Bachelor's degree: in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemistry, or a related
  • Advanced English
  • Leading Projects and specific teams (giving direction, feedback, motivation, moderation)

Experience:

  • 5 or more years of professional experience in process engineering functions and hoses process preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in rubber and plastic production processes and ramp-up projects
  • Working with international teams on production topics and understanding of foreign cultures

Knowledge:

  1. Manufacturing Engineering Processes
  • Expert in Rubber, and Hydraulic Hose
  • Expert in Hydraulic Hose Process and Production Equipment
  • Core manufacturing processes for hoses (Mandrel Preparation, Extrusion, Braiding, Cover, Curing, Blow out and Pressure Test)
  • Product and process industrialization related technologies, systems, Infrastructures, standards and processes
  • Hose Products, systems and technologies (functionalities and applications)
  • Design and product qualification test and processes

2. Methodologies

  • Problem Solving and decision Making Tools and Techniques
  • Process Change management
  • Lean production/CBS principles, methods and tools (e.g. production management system) Tools:
  • Project management
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Core Tools (PFMEA, APQP, MSA, R&R, Flow chart, Process control sheet)
