Team Lead

▪ lead, supervise and develop the lawyers (and assistants with interns if applicable) in legal team                                                                                                                             
▪ ensure provision of high quality legal advise to companies within China                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             
▪ ensure integration of team members into the whole EMEA & APAC team across the various countries and locations                                                         

▪ identify and continuously develop a successor of all leadership functions in the team including own function  
▪ plan and manage team budget 

Risk Management / Decision Making

▪ anticipate issues and opportunities and estimate risks for the companies in China
▪ evaluate and weigh multiple inputs and impacts of possible decisions or course of action
▪ identify solutions to minimize risks and maximize legal rights and opportunities
▪ develop proposals for efficient and effective internal decision making

Cooperation

▪ create trustful relationships with key stakeholders internally (e.g. general managers, BA heads, Central Functions etc.) and externally (suppliers, customers, external counsel etc.)
▪ within the Global Law Department liaise with the leaders of other areas/regions for global coordination of legal services in cross-regional and cross-functional matters
 ▪coordinate retention and manage costs of outside counsel for those clients/areas of law where no in-house resources are available

Legal Advice & Claims

▪ provide expert and strategic legal advice to management in complex, significant matters and supervise legal advice given by the team members                                                                                                                            ▪ ensure proper support of clients in claim management, both in and out of court, both as claimant and as defendant

Standardization

▪ help to develop standardized solutions, where reasonable, to increase efficiency of law department (e.g. by further developing templates and tools)

Contracts

▪ Responsible to draft and review contracts of all kinds and other legal documents
▪ Offer support in negation of high complexity/high stake contracts
▪ Ensure an updated library of contract templates in all legal areas

▪ Ensure usage of available contract management/approval tools by the entire team

Trainings

▪ Ensure that the team provides preventive workshops & training for assigned clients
▪ Coach the team members in their technical as well as organizational skills

Reporting

▪ Ensure tracking of all legal matters in applicable IT system(s) by the team 

▪ Report on all relevant legal matters and risks to the supervisor

Confidentiality

▪Respect the confidentiality of information he/she has access to inside the corporation

Company´s procedures

▪ Respect Internal Regulations and company's procedures.

Votre profil

University degree - Law School

at least 8 years of professional experience on legal position

independent advisory in complex national and international matters/projects

proven experience in formal or informal leadership (e.g. coordination colleagues in complex projects)

multiple years of working in an international team/company
