Business Analyst - R&D Controller

The R&D Controlling Tires department is a central function with global responsibility for managing R&D financials. We also act as consultants to operational R&D main departments to enable optimal decision-making. As a new member in our "Advanced Analytics" team, you will be able to contribute with the following tasks:

Cost Center Controlling

  • Acting as Business Partner to cost center leaders in terms of FC planning and cost accounting
  • Steering quarterly cost center reviews
  • Ensuring compliance of financial processes, e.g. year end accruals, shopping cart and invoice approvals
  • Supporting in budget process

Headcount Controlling

  • Assuming ownership for global R&D headcount reporting
  • Acting as process owner for all personnel request and personnel management processes within R&D Tires

Advanced Analytics

  • Understanding business needs and subsequent implementation of reporting and analytics solutions in advanced analytics tools, e.g. Power BI, Power Automate
  • Defining and implementing needed data models to support reporting and analytics solutions
  • Translating operational needs into intuitive and consistent UI design
  • Tool ownership and further development of our headcount and position tracking system (HAPTIC)

Process Improvements / Automation

  • Continuous improvement of R&D controlling processes in terms of efficiency and quality
  • Development of automated process supports, e.g. using KNIME workflows or RPA solutions
  • Scouting for and sharing of potential system- and solution innovations

Votre profil

  • Academic degree in Economics, Business Administration or comparable qualification
  • First professional experience in controlling/accounting in a global organization desirable
  • Excellent coordination, communication & stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with business intelligence dashboarding solutions and platforms (e.g. Power BI, KNIME, Tableau, etc.)
  • Knowledge of financial reporting systems (especially SAP R3 CO / SAP BW)
  • Very good handling of MS Office software, especially MS Excel 
  • Passion for innovation and data modelling
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Independent & self-organized working style
  • High quality focus and customer orientation
  • Motivated team-player, who loves to work in an international environment
  • Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Portuguese languages skills  written and spoken are a plus
