We are looking for you to support our Business Area Original Equipment Solutions (OESL) as Technical Customer Lead for Volvo Trucks. In this role, you serve as the central technical interface, primary technical point of contact, and escalation level for all application engineering matters concerning the customer Volvo Trucks.

Your role will include the following tasks:

  • Coordination of application engineering activities within segments or cross segments for the customer Volvo Trucks
  • Set up and maintain close relationship to technical departments of Volvo Trucks and their key players
  • Provide technical support and consultation to assigned customers Volvo Trucks regarding all OESL solutions
  • Monitor technical customer strategy and relevant market/technology developments and proactively feed information and customer requirements to R&D and Application Engineering
  • Actively contribute in creation and execution of customer strategy with technical customer roadmap, white spot analysis, etc.
  • Be the expert for customer specific requirements and negotiate technical customer specifications
  • Develop design concepts, proposals and solutions and present them to the customer
  • Leadership of technical aspects during acquisition and quotation phase
  • Evaluate feasibility of customer requests as part of a cross functional team
  • Support Quality teams in customer related quality complaint analyses and resolutions
  • Support Operations teams on-demand by participation in cost reduction projects
  • Act as project manager for assigned projects

Votre profil

  • Academic degree in engineering, natural sciences or comparable fields
  • Longterm experience in the automotive industry, especially in engineering or development area with proven costumer or supplier interaction
  • Profound project management and project leadership experience multi-national project teams
  • Advanced understanding of automotive product life cycle
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Basic German language skills are beneficial
  • Swedish language skills are an advantage
  • Very good analytical skills, autonomy, good interpersonal skills and diplomacy
