As a Customs & Transport Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and ensuring compliance with import/export regulatory documentation and process standards set by external entities (e.g., government authorities) and required by the company.
  • Classifying products to ensure accurate legal customs tariff classification, including submitting requests for binding tariff information.
  • Ensuring efficient, timely, and secure management of transport processes (customs, suppliers, and internal/intercompany logistics).
  • Ensuring stable transport processes in accordance with country-specific requirements in coordination with nominated service providers.
  • Maintaining and checking shipping notices and transit times with carriers.
  • Notifying carriers of delivery changes from suppliers to customers in case of short-term adjustments.
  • Executing standard customs clearance procedures.
  • Manage transport damage and complaints (e.g., investigating cause, determining liabilities, and coordinating claim settlements).
  • Coordinating import and export processes during emergency shipments (e.g., hand-carries, charter flights).
  • Supporting first-level escalation by analyzing non-performance issues of service providers (e.g., delivery delays or inaccuracies).
  • Monitoring results, maintaining accurate records, and distributing information to relevant business partners (e.g., customs authorities, freight forwarders, internal departments, suppliers, customers).
  • Analyzing and improving transport processes using standardized IT systems and tools (e.g., optimizing contracted tariffs and terms for economic efficiency).
  • Monitoring freight costs (actual vs. budgeted).
  • Analyzing quotes from national and international freight carriers in coordination with central responsible functions.

Votre profil

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of customs and carrier-specific tools (regional).
  • Familiarity with locally applicable foreign trade regulations and processes (e.g., customs regulations, road weight restrictions, infrastructure requirements).
  • Good communication & negotiation skills;
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent Lithuanian, written and spoken.
