Lean Management Specialist

• Key consultant for the Plant employees for continuous improvement and lean implementation to optimize efficiency, increase productivity (e.g. OEE, less invest), quality (e.g. scrap, incidents, 0km PPM) and deliveries (e.g. freights).
• Define and execute the continuous improvement and lean concept and roadmap for the plant with inputs from CBS BA and TQM CBS center of excellence & drive the introduction together with CBS Coach and Plant Management.
• Facilitate Jishuken continuous improvement as a main task.
• Shopfloor management. Responsible for the full improvement of the line and the full potential of shift leaders and line leaders for the improvement.
• Responsible for the development of the lean and continuous improvement maturity of the plant.
• Perform Self-Assessments (regarding CBS & TPM topics)  incl. follow- ups.
• Regular presence at Gemba, Observe if Gemba standard is properly executed.
• Implement and maintain the standards (as LSW, SW, Deviation Management, 5S, Jishuken, etc.), ensuring right behaviors.
• Drive the development of the plant in the direction of a Lean and Continuous Improvement organization towards achieving Operational Excellence.
• Analyze business / plant needs and CBS maturity together with the management and business partners to initiate and drive CBS projects.
• Support CBS competency management across the plant including onboarding orientation. Provides & supports CBS trainings customized to the target group within the plant.
• Facilitate CBS continuous improvement and lean training
• Ensure active participation of the plant in the CBS Network communities. Accumulate and communicate results and lessons learned. Use the best practice experience of the Network.
• Motivate employees for further CBS implementation in their area of responsibility.
• Escalate to Plant CBS Coach if the development of a Lean Culture in the pant is at risk. 
• Responsible for the monthly CBS Reporting in the Plant and BA Areas.
• Responsible to prioritize improvement gaps and define improvement plans for productivity increase and cost/waste reduction, ensuring improvements out of deviation management.
• Reports savings out of the continuous improvement / lean activities, Collaborate with the Controlling team.
• Escalate issues that need higher management decision/ approval/ review (e.g. fluctuation, project issues, technical issues).
• Define and implements actions/ supervises the implementation of actions to minimize risks and measures the efficiency of the actions.
• Regularly check the status of the tasks and/or projects within own group and supervises the definition of - and proposes corrective actions if the task performance/project is endangered.
• To be part of the TPM Team and its activities on the shopfloor.
• Maintenance support (KPIs, OEE, Pulse system, Problem-solving, Preventive Maintenance planning.
• Project manager for Strategy Projects like Standard Work, Deviation Management, Jishuken, Leader Standard Work etc.

• Lean management knowledge, lean management methods and tools.
• Project management skills, tools and techniques.
• Ability to lead, coach people, very good communication skills to all levels within an organization;, emotional intelligence.
• Change management and interruptive thinking.
• Negotiation skills, motivation skills, team skills, conflict management, networking and strategic orientation.
• Knowledge of Continental Automotive organization and the Continental business processes and the House of Rules.
• Knowledge of the entire operations area (Supply Chain, Production processes, administration processes, etc.) and Production Technologies.
• Leadership skills including: Inspiring, Coaching, Empowering, project/time management.
• Problem solving and decision making tools and techniques.
• Use of Quality tools e.g.: six sigma, SPC, FMEA, CP, MSA, PPAP, understanding of statistical methods.
