Developer for Holistic Engineering Platform

he[a]t (Holistic Engineering and Technologies Organization) is the central organization driving the race for the future mobility ecosystem and takes responsibility for future technologies and solutions in the Automotive sector.
Within he[a]t, the PMT (Process Methods and Tools) organization has the target to increase the efficiency and productivity in Automotive Engineering in collaboration with our Business Areas and customers.

he[a]t PMT develops and provides holistic solutions through the House of Solutions across all Continental Automotive business units in an Agile organizational setup. This includes the overall Engineering processes (incl. methods, roles, templates) and tool chains (incl. workflows) governance as well as quality standards aligned with internal stakeholders, external customers, and industry.

The Holistic Engineering Platform (HEP) is an integral part of the House of Solutions. It combines processes, workflows, methods, work instructions and best practices in an integrated tool chain. The IBM Jazz platform is a collaborative engineering lifecycle management solution and is the core element of the Holistic Engineering Platform. Completed by different other state of the art tools (e.g. Jira, GitHub, Confluence) it aims to increase collaboration, manage complexity, and ensure the quality of product development.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for you as a Developer for the Holistic Engineering Platform with a strong focus on interface development. This may cover:

• Development of general interfaces between tools of the HEP tool chain
• Development and maintenance of a Python IBM Jazz interface
• Maintenance and improvement of existing interfaces
• Management of HEP Interface Deployment
o Technical alignment with external suppliers (e.g. writing requirements specifications) in case of third-party interfaces (e.g. OSLC Adapters)
o Deployment of new or updated interfaces into the HEP tool chain in the affected process and project areas
o Testing and verification of the complete functional chain in case of new or updated interface or general tool upgrades
• Support and troubleshooting (2nd level support) for the HEP interfaces
• Close collaboration with affected stakeholder e.g. IT, external suppliers

• Degree in Computer Science with at least 3 -5 years’ working experience in Software Development or similar
• Experienced in programming, especially: Java, Python, Web Development

• Preferably, experienced in web-based interfaces such as REST-API, OSLC
• Preferably, experienced in XML and Resource Description Framework
• Language skill: English (fluent)
• Collaborative way of working with good communication skills
