Automation Engineer (Control & Drives)

Integrating the Manufacturing Engineering Department, as an Automation Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Optimizing and adapting the control technology of machines and systems to best meet process, quality, and safety requirements.
• Providing technical support to the curative maintenance teams
• Providing support to IT for MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software rollouts
• Ensuring the compliance of the shopfloor machines with the Continental cybersecurity policies

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics or similar.
• Previous experience in similar role (min. 1 year) with Project Management responsibilities (preferably)
• Knowledge in automation programming (Beckhoff / Siemens) and field bus.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and Safety PLC programming.
• Knowledge of Scada systems.
• Knowledge in frequency converters and motion control.
• Knowledge in the robotics field (ABB, KuKa).
• Knowledge in AI, Machine learning and Vision systems will be appreciated.
• Team player with leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent or Native in Portuguese Language (mandatory).
• Strong English skills, written and spoken (B2).
