Engineering Fitter Area 1

Key Responsibilities:

• To do fault finding/ trouble-shooting and repair job related to mechanical. Ex: pipe work, lubrication, pneumatic, and hydraulic
• To perform routine maintenance task on mechanical system
• To do inspection/ monitoring on electro-mechanical system
• To do fabrication job that includes welding and machining
• To service mechanical components
• To install new parts or machine
• To report for any potential breakdown to supervisor
• Must be able to respond to breakdown quickly
• To perform all size change activities when and as required including minor MTC checks
• To assist and perform electrical job under wireman/ supervisor supervision

Candidate MUST have:

• Minimum mechanical/automotive/fabrication engineering certificate or relevant with 5+ years' experience, or Diploma in mechanical/automotive/fabrication engineering with 3+ years' experience
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawing
• Must be able to identify if parts used are within the part specification. If not, must notify supervisor & HOS
• Must be able to identify ,measure and install all types of commonly used mechanical parts such as sprocket, seals, belting, pulley, chain, conveyor, pump, valves, pipes, cylinders, bearings, gearbox and etc
• Must be able to change defect bladder at Making and Curing. (OTR - as per agreed Memo)
• Able to use safety equipment, and protective devices and equipment.
• Execute and record Local Exhaust Emission report as per regulation
• Able to execute job according to the installation practice and regulations, and relevant codes of practice.
• Able to correctly use and maintain the tools including power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments
• Able to do basic calculation
• Has the knowledge of basic workshop practice, engineering materials
• Has the knowledge of relevant ordinances and regulations
• Hardworking, committed, energetic and proactive attitude is a must.
