Product Development Engineer (Projects engineer)

Key targets of the job profile:

• Product Development and Project Management for Commercial Vehicles axle Air Springs alignment with Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) and IATF 16949 as well as specific Customer Requirements.

Generic key task description:

• Complete Product Developments according to set time frames, budgets and quality standards, while maintaining product robustness, maximizing standardization and insuring smooth product launch.
• Supports acquisition with Sales, Application Engineering, Product Management, Business Development, Purchasing departments.
• Customer interface together with Application Engineering for the development and validation of new products for known current market.
• Evolutionary product development to extend portfolio for new customer requirements or new markets using known validated technologies or processes.
• Participation in the improvement of existing products, as well as in the development of new products and processes to improve market position.

• Mechanical Engineer degree (Bachelor or Master), Mechanical Administrator Engineer, Industrial Engineer degree or related background.
• Min 3 years as Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Product Engineer. Desirable experience on Air Springs, Antivibration elements or automotive components development.
• Basic knowledge on stamping process for sheet metal, injection plastic, coatings, vulcanization process, elastomer products.
• Min 2 years on Project Management.
• Leading Self.
• Desirable experience leading multidisciplinary groups.
• Fluid skills of English communication.
• Desirable experience working with intercultural teams.
