Head of PI Material

Your tasks

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Product Industrialization Material to join our team in Otrokovice 2, Czechia. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the transition of product designs to mass production, with a strong focus on material selection, optimization, and industrialization processes.

  • Lead and manage the product industrialization team, ensuring efficient execution of projects from concept to mass production
  • Develop and implement strategies for material selection, optimization, and cost-effective manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, and supply chain to ensure seamless integration of materials into product designs
  • Oversee quality control processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyze and optimize material usage to enhance product performance and reduce costs
  • Stay abreast of emerging materials and manufacturing technologies to drive innovation
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to materials and manufacturing processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and partners in the materials industry
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members and other departments on material-related issues
  • Create and present reports on project status, material performance, and industrialization metrics to senior management

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in product industrialization or related field, with a strong focus on materials
  • Proven track record in leadership roles, demonstrating the ability to manage and motivate teams
  • In-depth knowledge of material science and its application in manufacturing processes
  • Strong understanding of quality control systems and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency in project management and strategic planning
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners
  • Experience with supply chain management and supplier relationships
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to materials and manufacturing
  • Knowledge of sustainable manufacturing practices is a plus
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma are advantageous
  • Willingness to travel as required for supplier visits and industry events
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Czech or other Central European languages is beneficial
