Your tasks

We are seeking an experienced SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Consultant to design, implement, and support global trade and compliance processes within the SAP environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP GTS modules, knowledge of international trade regulations, and experience integrating GTS with core SAP modules such as SD, MM, and ECC/S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement SAP GTS functionalities to support global trade processes.
  • Map business processes related to international trade, logistics, and customs to SAP GTS functionalities.
  • Develop functional specifications for GTS enhancements, reports, and interfaces.
  • Participate in full-cycle implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and migrations (ECC to S/4HANA GTS).
  • Integrate SAP GTS with core SAP modules (SD, MM, and FI) for seamless trade and compliance processing.
  • Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to align trade compliance activities with global shipping and procurement processes.
  • Work with technical teams to manage interfaces with customs authorities and third-party systems (via IDocs, RFCs, Web Services).
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for GTS-related issues.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and propose corrective actions for system or process inefficiencies.
  • Monitor trade document processing and ensure compliance with local and international trade laws.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP GTS implementation or support.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP GTS modules (Compliance, Customs, and Risk Management).
  • Hands-on experience configuring trade preference management, embargo checks, and export/import procedures.
  • Understanding of integration points between GTS and SAP SD/MM.
  • Experience in S/4HANA GTS environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations, such as EAR, ITAR, and EU export controls.
  • Knowledge of customs integration tools and electronic data interchange (EDI).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for business and technical discussions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a global, cross-functional environment.
