Embedded Linux Software Engineer

THE POSITION

• The Embedded Linux Software Engineer will work on cutting edge telematics projects and will:
• Design, implement and test new features, change requests and bug fixes for telematics products.
• Analysis and root cause of problem reports
• Estimate the efforts needed for different SW work products
• Participate in sprint planning, SCRUM and continuous improvement tasks
• Adhere to Continental's SW development process and follow ASPICE practices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in: Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• C/C++ development
• Software development for embedded devices
• Linux Applications development
• Experience using GIT
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics
• Willingness to travel (<10% of the time)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Linux kernel development/configuration
• Telematics
• CAN, LIN, Ethernet
• Agile SW development
