Lab Test Engineer

Your tasks

 

  • Manage and conduct daily test requests for internal and external orders, providing reliable test results and reports within agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure best customer service by applying entrepreneurship principles and utilising global SSL Central Laboratories resources.
  • Implement new standards and set up test methods as required.
  • Support R&D and sales during product development with internal and external testing.
  • Assist QM, production, and purchasing with claim analysis and lab testing.
  • Coordinate service, maintenance, and calibration of test devices.
  • Define and create test plans for the local lab, ensuring internal testing capability for designated customers/products.
  • Support R&D in creating raw material and product specifications, focusing on test method applications.
  • Develop new and improve existing test methods, including documentation.
  • Implement and maintain CNAS and ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management systems.
  • Ensure measurement system analysis (MSA) and cross-checks for measurement equipment in global alignment.
  • Fulfil other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Your profile

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Material Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related field, with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in laboratory testing
  • Demonstrated expertise in chemical analysis, physical test methods, and proficient operation of various laboratory equipment (Extensive knowledge of GC, GC-MS, HPLC, and other advanced analytical instruments is essential)
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality control processes, industry standards, and substantial experience in product testing and failure analysis
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with advanced proficiency in data analysis software and statistical techniques
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Exemplary social and methodological skills, demonstrating rigorous analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving approaches
