Project Safety Management (ISO 26262) - Vehicle Dynamics (VED)
Your tasks
The Project Safety Manager is one of the key players ensuring product safety in Continental’s development process.
You will apply ISO 26262, Road vehicles – Functional safety within a global, multi-disciplinary engineering environment that focuses on state-of-the-art electronic braking systems (EBS) for vehicle dynamics control.
The position manages safety work-products and does not have direct people management responsibility.
Support alignment of Development Interface Agreement (DIA) with customers and Tier 2 suppliers
Support creation of Hazard Analyses (HA) for new vehicle dynamics features
Create and maintain Project Safety Plan (PSP) in alignment with project management and engineering departments according to Continental’s development process
Operate as interface between customer safety organization and Continental engineering departments for safety related activities
Create and maintain Project Safety Status Report for weekly review
Escalate and de-escalate project related issues pertaining to timing, cost or safety
Coordinate and lead functional safety work product reviews, audits, and assessments
Compile Safety Case where applicable
Your profile
Bachelors / Master Degree in engineering, computer science or in a related technical discipline
More than 3 years experience working in the automotive industry
Experience with embedded systems development Excellent verbal and written English communications skills
Deep understanding of ISO 26262, “Road vehicles – Functional safety” and its methodologies
Systematic problem solving skills
Ambition and drive to succeed
Knowledge of automotive regulatory bodies within the U.S. and Europe
Knowledge of automotive-related product life cycles
Knowledge about Automotive SPICE
Good understanding of vehicle dynamics control system behavior
Some travel may be required for training and to support customer meetings
