(Senior) Data Scientist - R&D Tires (m/f/d) - limited until 09/30/2026 - REF86074C

We are looking for a curious and driven (Senior) Data Scientist to join our R&D team in the field of tire development. This role focuses on the exploration and validation of innovative data-driven use cases that support the development of next-generation tire technologies. You will work closely with engineers, material developers, and product teams to turn data into actionable insights.

• Identify and explore new data science use cases in tire R&D, from concept to prototype
• Analyze experimental and simulation data to uncover patterns and opportunities
• Develop and test machine learning models and statistical analyses to support product innovation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions
• Communicate findings through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and frameworks for data exploration and modeling

• Academic degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Several years of experience in data science or applied analytics (internships and academic projects count)
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages; experience with data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, matplotlib)
• Solid understanding of statistics, data wrangling, and machine learning fundamentals
• Very good English language skills (written and spoken), German language skills are optional
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for experimentation and innovation
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
