SAP ABAP and PM/PP Consultant (Techno-Functional)

The group  Planning within the Automotive IT Competence Center - Business Applications (IT BA) is responsible in the process areas of master data maintenance, short term production planning and manufacturing execution.  We are currently looking for a techno-functional Plant Maintenance/Production Planning to support us in the following tasks:

• Conduct system analysis and provide relevant PM and/or PP system configuration (customizing) according to business requirements
• Design and develop ABAP programming requirements within the functional modules of PM and PP
• In-depth analysis and debugging of existing programs, interfaces and Web Dynpro ABAP applications
• Participate and execute the required activities during the different phases/milestones of project implementation: fit-gap blueprint design, realization, UAT, cutover and hypercare  
• Coordinate requirements and define concepts/solutions for the relevant business processes together with global competence center, local management and key-Users
• Provides functional and technical support  and implement solutions
• Execute  systems testing in accordance with the activity timetable
• Provide second-level support of SAP-systems to investigate, monitor, and resolve incident and/or change management  requests 
•  Handle changes or emergency transports as needed for high-priority issues
• Support,  define and create authorization concepts and roles in SAP
• Provide guidance to and shares knowledge with team relating to area of specialization
• Support of local departments and key users during project implementations and release-upgrades
• Produce functional documentation and technical specification
•  Participate in global/regional/project  team calls, workshops, trainings, and ad-hoc alignment meetings
• Manage own workload to meet assigned deadlines
• Actively participate in company initiatives

The hired individual will be responsible for the successful delivery of SAP Plant Maintenance and/or Production Planning (PP)  solutions, change management & technology initiatives. 

• University degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field
• Minimum 2+ full lifecycle SAP ERP implementation for module PP or PM and service management or other logistical module
• With several years of proven ABAP skills in developing Webdynpro ABAP and ABAP Object Oriented Programming  
• With manufacturing experience and business process knowledge highly preferred
• Configuration skills in PM and/or PP or other logistical module 
•  With strong integration knowledge of other SAP ERP logistics modules 
•  Fast-learner, with cross cross-cultural experience; has proven assertiveness and problem-solving abilities
•  Ability to work independently with excellent problem solving skills
• Willing to travel, 10-20% of travel is required  

The following skills and experiences will be an advantage:

• Knowledge of business processes and configuration in SAP logistics module including relevant interfaces (ie Webdynpro, MES, API, etc)
• Basic integration knowledge in other functional areas such as SAP Finance and SAP Quality Management.
• Business process experience or background in a relevant manufacturing environment desired
• Experience in basic SAP Authorization Management
