Accounts Payable Assistant
Your tasks
Responsible for all aspects of accounts payable, including accurate and timely processing of all purchase invoices and control of the purchase ledger. - Responsible for processing all purchase invoices
- Responsible for checking invoices are coded to correct GL codes and cost centres
- Processing supplier debit notes
- Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues with invoices, e.g. incorrect pricing or quantity discrepancies
- Liaising with suppliers and collaborating with other departments to resolve queries
- Timely scanning of accounts payable related documents
- Reconciliation of key supplier statements
- Checking and clearing GR/IR accounts
- Preparation and posting of accounts payable related month end accruals
- Processing purchase card statements
- Processing expense claims
- Control and processing of petty cash
- Complete ad hoc tasks as requested
Your profile
- Must have accounts payable experience in a large international multicurrency environment.
- Ideally AAT part or fully qualified.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- SAP accounting software experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of VAT required - basic rules affecting UK and international invoices.
