Reporting & Analytics Application Specialist

Your tasks

The Tires Purchasing team is looking for a team member, located in Lousado (Portugal). This professional will report to the area of Purchasing Data Management in Hanover (Germany) and locally to the Local Coordinator of Tires Sector Purchasing Controlling & Analytics.  The main purpose of this position is to define and provide, from business side, solutions and the required information to ensure and track strategic purchasing decisions and transparency on purchasing contribution for Tires Sector of Continental.  More detailed activities consist on:

Projects related:

  • Adjustment and optimization of existing Business Intelligence applications based e.g. SAP BW, MS Power BI, etc;
  • Development of new reports according to requirements of Tire Purchasing (including training of users);
  • Ensure consistent and efficient usage of data across different system platforms for reporting and decision making within Tire Purchasing;
  • Automation of data management processes related to reporting / monitoring of KPIs;

 

Operations and General level related:

  • Assure availability, correctness and quality of data content and applications in cooperation with IT;
  • Take full business ownership of reporting & analytics applications;
  • Communication with internal stakeholders;
  • Support users in Purchasing community (centrally, plant level, business areas;
  • Develop ideas to enhance the usability and effective usage of data within the organization.

Your profile

  • University degree preferentially in Business Administration/ Information Management or similar;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Systems design & implementation / Experience in Purchasing or Controlling;
  • Experience and ability to work in international environment;
  • Advanced analytical skills (Methodical & Technical);
  • Knowledge about SAP MM/BI/SRM and Cloud Technology (Data Lake/Power BI)
  • Understanding about Purchasing Process (for RM and NPM);
  • Basic Knowledge of Project Management Skills;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Good English capabilities (minimum B2 European level)
  • Other valuable competencies: Stakeholder & Customer Focus; Quality Orientation; Taking Initiative; Planning and Organizing; Problem Solving.
