TIre Building Rework / Scrap Operator

You can contribute to our team in this role by:

• Operating  tuggers, walkies, forklifts and material handling equipment 
• Maintaining accurate material identification and reporting
• Effectively communicating with supervision, other tire-room personnel, and any supplying department supervision.
• Following all plant policies including departmental, environmental, and safety policies. Must be certified, by Continental Tire, to operate a Forklift. 
• Following standard practices and performing all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, and keeping work areas neat, clean, and orderly.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE 

• HS diploma /GED.
• Sliver WorkKey Test Scores
• Able to lead and foster teamwork.
• Knowledge of Computers
• Willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts – days, nights, and weekends.

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT 

• 1-3 Years Forklift Experience preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred

THE ENVIRONMENT

• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes or boots.
• Include shift information 12-hr. shifts, Day/Night Rotation, new hires will likely be placed on an evening/weekend shift, etc.
• This role is within a climate-controlled facility, forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. 
• The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.
