Production Supervisor (Final Finish)

Your tasks

Be responsible for final finishing production area to ensure production volume up to sequencing requirements and quality of product conforming with standard.

Output:

▪ Support manager to manage output of his respective area up to requirements by size and on time

▪ Help manage stock of his respective section to avoid shortage and also overproduction of products

▪ Ensure machine material availability, employee competency to fulfill output

▪ Develop and implement strategies to optimise production flow and efficiency

▪ Monitor and analyse production metrics, identifying areas for improvement

▪ Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production scheduling

 

Quality:

▪ Be responsible for all scrap reduction from his respective section. Setting up target and defining measures to achieve the target

▪ Ensure machine material suitability, employee competency to fulfill quality

▪ Be responsible for improvement on the complaint from next process or customer

▪ Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures

▪ Conduct regular quality audits and initiate corrective actions when necessary

▪ Stay updated on industry standards and regulations, ensuring compliance in all production processes

 

People:

▪ Be responsible for employee's competency in his section. Cooperate with human resource on recruiting, training and competency management to ensure it

▪ Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, fostering a positive work environment

▪ Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members

▪ Identify and address skill gaps within the team, recommending appropriate training programmes

 

Efficiency & Cost:

▪ Carrying out the actions for productive efficiency of his respective section. Contributing to measures to improve process to maximum utilisation rate of machine and eliminate all kinds of waste

▪ Implementing cost management. Help set up budget and control measure to carry out the plan

▪ Identify and implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency

▪ Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimise downtime

▪ Analyse production costs and suggest cost-saving measures without compromising quality

 

Safety & Compliance:

▪ Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations within the production area

▪ Conduct regular safety briefings and training sessions for all team members

▪ Identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures to maintain a safe working environment

Your profile

Education / Certification:
College degree with related major: machinery, chemistry, etc.
                                
Professional Experience:
At least 2-3 years manufacturing experience 
                            
Project and/or Process Experience:
Tire experience in tire plant or quality department experience preferred

Leadership Experience:
Team management experience preferred
