2025 Internship- Tire Engineering & Product Development
Your tasks
The Tire Engineering Intern is responsible for the technical support of the Product Development Team. Responsibilities include indoor and outdoor testing data evaluation and programs new tools for data analysis and work efficiencies.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Research and identify potential improvements for the existing tools
- Program new tools for better data evaluation
- Program new tools that will strengthen the collaboration between departments (scheduling, forecast, purchasing)
- Maintain existing tools
- Identify tire applications that could benefit from new materials regarding performance, cost and efficiencies
- Data investigation (constructions and materials)
- Competitor tire evaluation
- Evaluation of outdoor and indoor testing data
- Support the Product Development Team in the implementation of new technologies
- Support the Head of RnD on urgent projects (quick analysis, overview or data investigation)
Candidate Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable and responsible to complete assigned tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Your profile
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled with minimum sophomore standing full-time as of Fall 2024.
- Be majoring in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at the time of application)
- Experience with 2D and 3D design software (AutoCAD, Solidworks)
- Experience with MS Excel (macros, pivots, VBA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in FSAE/BAJA or similar projects are an advantage
