Head of Tax, Automotive North America

Your tasks

Direct and coordinate the tax personnel of the Continental tax department in the United States & Mexico to fulfill all the tax and legal of Continental legal entities in the United States, Canada & Mexico.  This position is responsible for US/Canada/Mexico tax matters including international, federal, state and local obligations.  Provides guidance and advise on tax planning, tax accounting, transfer pricing, tax issues, tax rules, and tax policies.  Ensures timely and accurate filing of tax returns.  Manages Financial reporting requirements of the Continental legal entities within US, Canada & Mexico.  Recommends strategy to minimize the tax burden within the US, Canada & Mexico.  Selects, develops and evaluates personnel within the US-based tax department to ensure the efficient operation of the US-based tax function.  Direct and coordinate tax audits and tax assessments issued by taxing authorities.  Review and validate the correct tax packages for IFRS reporting in the GTC (or its equivalent) tool.  Review contracts, shareholder meeting minutes, transfer of shares of Shareholders related to corporate tax and legal restructuring projects

Your profile

Minimum Qualifications Include:

University Degree in Tax and/or Accounting or other Business/Finance related degree

10 years directly relevant experience in US Federal, State and Local Corporate Tax 

Minimum 5 years experience leading teams

Automotive Industry experience preferred

Mexico Federal/State/Municipality Tax knowledge preferred

Masters Degree in Taxation preferred
