Master Thesis Project - Solution Development Center
Your tasks
Continental Group in recent years is aligning its technology to fit the Industry 4.0 framework. One of the key pillars of Industry 4.0 is the quantity and the quality of data being used for various use-cases. These use-cases can be used for the generation of alarms, process monitoring or material traceability. The primary objective of the project is to develop complete automated testing suite for cCSMI, focus on Unit Testing.
As the Continental Standard Machine Interface (cCSMI) project expands, ensuring the reliability and stability of the software becomes increasingly critical. Any malfunction, defect, or system failure could have significant implications, affecting the entire development and deployment cycle. To mitigate these risks, the development of an automated testing suite is essential.
Automated tests are essential for ensuring code quality and reliability throughout the development process. They provide immediate feedback on changes, reduce the risk of defects by consistently validating functionality, and save time and costs associated with manual testing. By integrating automated tests, we foster a robust, maintainable codebase, support continuous integration and deployment, and enhance developer confidence, ultimately leading to a faster and more efficient development cycle.
Focus on Unit Testing: This project will concentrate on developing Unit tests as the first phase of the automated testing suite. Unit tests are essential for validating the functionality of individual components, ensuring that each part of the codebase behaves as expected in isolation.
