MES Coordinator
Your tasks
Main purpose of the job is the organizational lead of the MES team in Americas. The person is responsible for supervising, training and developing the global team based in Mexico. In addition the person takes over functional lead and organization within the digitalization projects. The person is the connection to the business process owners in the plants such as production, quality and logistics. He supports the project phases analysis, design, development, test, implementation and hypercare.
New implementations:
- Document and Analyze shop floor processes
- Translate process requirements into MES requirements
- Create MES specification
- Support the customizing / programming process done by external resources
- Test create software bricks
- Implementation and support of MES system
Changes:
- Translate demands from manufacturing, quality, logistics into MES specifications for changed or additional processes
- Support departments to include these process into the MES system software with use of standard tools.
- Create specifications for changes
- Implement and support process into MES system
- Understand and create specification for track and trace including batch management, serialization and identification of products with data matrix / QR labels and RFID
- In charge for supervising, training and developing the global MES team.
Your profile
The ideal candidate for this critical role must possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field is essential.
- Substantial experience as a Project Engineer is mandatory, demonstrating a proven track record of successful project management.
- Extensive experience in the automotive or industrial sector is crucial, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in executing tasks related to production processes is imperative, as this role requires intimate knowledge of manufacturing operations.
- Strong people management skills are non-negotiable, as the position involves leading and developing a global team.
- Fluency in English is an absolute requirement, as effective communication is vital in this international role.
- Proven ability to work effectively with global, multi-functional teams is essential, showcasing adaptability and cross-cultural competence.
- Proficiency in SAP, SAP ME, and DM is required, with a track record of leveraging these systems to drive operational excellence.
- Extensive experience in introducing and applying software solutions in production and planning environments is crucial for success in this role.
- A solid background in production and logistics is mandatory, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of supply chain dynamics.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes is essential, as the role demands the ability to optimize and streamline manufacturing operations.
