Manufacturing Engineer - Intern

Your tasks

  1. Assisting in the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing workflows and improve production efficiency.
  3. Conducting time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for process improvement.
  4. Assisting in the development and documentation of manufacturing work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  5. Participating in the analysis of production data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  6. Assisting in the evaluation and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
  7. Supporting the troubleshooting and resolution of production issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  8. Assisting in the implementation of quality control measures and conducting quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  9. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing projects and Six Sigma activities.
  10. Assisting in the coordination of production schedules and material requirements to meet production targets and customer demands.
  11. Collaborating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  12. Contributing to cost reduction initiatives by identifying opportunities for waste reduction and process optimization.
  13. Assisting in the implementation of safety protocols and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  14. Collaborating with the engineering team to support new product introductions and the scaling up of manufacturing processes.
  15. Documenting and reporting project progress, findings, and recommendations to the manufacturing engineering team.

Your profile

  1. Active student. Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.

  2. Have insurance university

  3. Technical skills: Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD) for creating and modifying engineering drawings. Familiarity with manufacturing software tools, such as ERP systems or process simulation software, is a plus. Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles, including machining, assembly, and quality control.

  4. Analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and use statistical methods to identify trends and make informed decisions. Knowledge of tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or process improvement methodologies is beneficial.

  5. Problem-solving abilities: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to identify root causes of issues and propose effective solutions. Ability to work independently and take initiative when faced with challenges.

  6. Communication and teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, document procedures, and present findings. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to group projects.
