Internship - Efficient Driver Activity Recognition via Latent Feature Augmentation - REF3224X

For our Berlin location, we are looking for an intern (m/f/diverse) for a duration of at least 3 months in the AI Lab, starting as soon as possible.

Your tasks include:

• Develop and evaluate feature-level augmentation techniques (e.g., latent interpolation, distribution calibration) to improve recognition of rare or underrepresented driver activities

• Design robust and generalizable models using self-supervised learning and domain adaptation strategies to handle real-world challenges.

• Benchmark and interpret model performance to validate the impact of augmentation

• Collaborate with our team on potential follow-up research projects

• Students of a technical course such as Computer Science, Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistic, Mathematics, Mechatronics
• Well versed in Python, PyTorch and Machine learning models (CNN, Transformers)
• Self-supervised learning, representation learning
• Basic knowledge of German and fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
• Learning ability and analytical thinking
• Results orientation, independence and motivation

• The AI Lab Berlin is part of Continental's central research and pre-development and will be responsible for enabling the use of artificial intelligence in future products of our company.
