Supplier Quality Engineer

SQM CAT - Regional QCM BRP and Component Introduction:

• Monitor Quality Incidents and support HBS plants in Americas Region
• Support in GQA (General Quality Agreement)  agreements with Friction material  Supplier
• Lead SQIP (Supplier Quality Improvement Programs) persuiting incident reduction
• Ensure the supplier selection in-time sourcing for feasible suppliers with decisions signed according signature rules
• Plan, initiate and control failure prevention orientated, advanced quality management measures in the design/development phase for supplied parts and services (Maturity Evaluation, Supplier Component Review, Feasibility Commitment, Project Reviews, Run & Rate, Safe Launch Concept, Quality Control Plan, VDA 6.3 audit) to ensure that the components meet the defined quality requirements
• Plan, initiate, implement and control the appropriate supplier quality assurance measures along the complete process chain in the make/market phase for all supplied goods and services, in the area of responsibility, to continuously observe and improve the quality performance of the supplier with focus on a zero-failure-strategy
• Implement and control of quality improvement and development programs of suppliers
• Ensure in-time releases of new components

Series Production & reporting:

• 8D methodology appliance for problem solving;
• Support to the production lines regarding purchased components
• Support to the incoming inspection
• Regular update of APQP Status via SupplyOn
• To feedback continuously APQP / PPAP status from SQM towards project team / engineering / SQMP
• To feedback APQP / PPAP status from SQM towards customer on demand
• Provide regular report to BU SQM Manager 

• Bachelor’s degree Engineering
• Experience in interfacing with automotive OEM customers regarding quality issue
• IATF16949, problem solving process and method, 8D methodology,
• Experience in APQP/PPAP/FMEA/MSA/SPC
• Strong MS Office Skills
• Advanced English
• It is a plus experience in friction material/rubber and certification as Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma
