Local IT Manager

Your tasks

  • Lead the Local IT Organization in R&D Guadalajara and R&D Queretaro.
  • Establish & maintain a regular and open communication between BA, Local IT, Controlling, RIO and all respective plants.
  • Ensure implementation of and sustained compliance with Aumovio-IT-Strategy, company targets, standards and guidelines in the R&D Mexico locations in accordance with Central IT and Competency Center Management.
  • Harmonize requirements and interests of the R&D Locations in line with IT Strategy and IT-Standards.
  • Advise, consult and further promote standardization in R&D Mexico.
  • Build and sustain growth and performance of staff as well as personal development in accordance with Central IT and maintain strong team motivation, passion & team spirit.
  • Ensure and coordinate R&D Mexico projects in line with Continental project management standards.
  • Conducts HR employee dialogue(TMOD), personnel development, coaching and mentoring to subordinates and direct reports.
  • Collaboration and people management at all levels.
  • Maintain policies/procedures in accordance with Aumovio.
  • Control activities, operations, resources and projects in all aspects of cost, capacity, time and quality. 
  • Core IT Services: Business Consulting, Business Applications, Users & Workplace, Cybersecurity, Network Operations, Server & Storage Operations, DC operations within locations.
  • Prioritizes projects in close coordination with Local Management.
  • Communicates the IT-Strategy and IT targets towards the local management, ensures their implementation, as well as the compliance with all standards and guidelines.
  • Understands requirements from local business stakeholders and ensures their implementation based on existing standard solutions. Implements reliable & robust local solutions to support local processes where no standard is available.
  • Responsible for Cyber Security in the location
  • Supports all IT related audits (Corp. Audit, ISO, OEM Audits, TISAX, Location Reviews, etc.
  • Responsible for local IT Budget.
  • Prepare, plan, control, implement and monitor fiscal year, location IT operating budget, forecasts and capital requirements.
  • Responsible for local IT cost controlling and forecasting, ensure timely submission of financial data to Controllers and reports to top management.
  • Drives local IT business based on local/operational IT reports & KPIs
  • Methodical and Specialized experience in one or more of the following: Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma/Agile.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in Engineering.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution or Production Control Systems
  • Leadership

  • Shop Floor Technologies (MES/SAP Systems Interfaces)
