VDI Sr. Consultant

IT VDI Senior Consultant, a member of G IT IN CES provides Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Services in order to ensure maintenance of systems, in line with the information security procedures and policies. It’s include also Service Management for the VDI service, on a global base. Experience and expected skills on expert level in Client and Server Operating System, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, VMware Horizon for design, operation, monitoring and projects. A broad IT support and design background covered the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure experience is a prerequisite.

Provide 3rd Level Support for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure based on Vmware Horizon
development of scripts for automation and reporting via PowerShell and Vmware Orchestrator
change management for VDI Service

Develoment, Design & Support: Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environment (Vmware Horizon).

Support: (a). 3rd Level Support for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, (b). Service and Change Management for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (Member of Change Manager Team), (c). Knowleadge transfer to 2nd Level VDI Support and (d). Creating scripts and workflows for automation and reports

• Bachelors degree (Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable study)
• Well organized  technical planning and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to creatively solve problems with minimal guidance, while maintaining a timely, cost effective approach
Technical Knowledge (experience) on:
* Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (Vmware Horizon) - Expert
* MS SQL Database - Basic
* IT Process Knowledge (ITIL) - Basic
* IT Infrastructure Knowledge (Server, Storage, Network, PC Clients,..) - Expert
* Scripting (e.g. PowerShell) and Automation (e.g. Vmware Orchestrator) - Advanced
* Cloud (VMC on AWS + Azure Vmware Solution) + native Azure - Basics
* Client Operating Systems (Win10 & 11 + Ubuntu) - Expert
• High motivation to work in a challenging, global acting and multicultural team
• Fluent in English
• Willing to relocate to Querétaro - Hybrid work

Experience:

Three years of experience within Virtual Desktop Infrastructure position as a global administrator and with exerience with:
* Operating System Windows 10 / 11 and Linux Ubuntu
* PowerShell scripting
* MS SQL Database
* Active Directory
* VMware Horizon
* VMware vShpere
* C1VMware vRealize Orchestrator
* VMware App Volume (Writable Volume / AppStacks)
* VMware vRealize Operation
