Project Manager Occupant safety
As Project Management for Occupant Safety segment candidate will be responsible for the entire project during the development lifecycle, by leading and coordinating the project team to meet the project and customer's requirements together with the cost, time and quality targets.
In addition, it has to support fully the sales team for the acquisition of additional projects.
The activities include:
Develop and maintain Project Plan with cost, quality, risk analysis and timing throughout life of project.
Evaluate the necessary roles and define adequate project organization.
Manage the project team to realize the project objectives.
Actively manage and optimize the use of resources on project.
Manage problem resolution and change management process including impacts and project timing, cost, overall risks.
Carry out project, gate reporting and escalation of issues to Line manager, Quality, Customer and Project Steering Committee as required.
Establish and manage technical relationships with all internal and external parties (e.g. customer, suppliers)
University Degree in an Electrical Engineering field (Faculty of Automation and Computer Science Engineering, Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering with minor in electronics.
Project management methodology knowledge and experience.
Development process knowledge (Software, Hardware, Mechanical development methods: product development lifecycle)
Good knowledge of automotive standards.
Basic knowledge about networking skills.Negotiation practice and entrepreneurial understanding.
Recent situation, since system level integration and combination solution with other products as integrated system has been introduced, importance of experienced Project Manager is more increased and right project handling is necessary in time with right communication to understand/proceed correctly. In addition, deep technical discussions (e.G. FSM, new function in combination with other units) are much increased and discussion required by customer year by year in Japan.
