Your Impact
As the IT Consultant for Engineering Applications, you’ll be responsible for the seamless operation, maintenance, and optimization of key engineering tools such as CAD, CAE, HPC, and data exchange platforms. Working closely with external providers and internal stakeholders, you’ll align service delivery with strategic IT goals—empowering engineering teams across time zones with high availability, compliance, and performance.
What You’ll Do:
Act as a trusted IT partner for the R&D department and key users, aligning business needs with application capabilities.
Coordinate the provisioning and maintenance of global engineering applications, ensuring minimal downtime and proper license usage.
Facilitate onboarding, infrastructure setup, and user access in collaboration with internal IT and external providers.
Evaluate application improvements, propose workflow enhancements, and support roadmap planning to maximize value and innovation.
Ensure adherence to ITIL, Agile, and corporate project management standards, including compliance with data security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Oversee daily service delivery in partnership with external providers, manage SLAs and KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support contract renewals, service transitions, and performance escalations to meet global multi-time-zone requirements.
Promote a culture of ownership, quality, and process-orientation within engineering IT services.
Inspire colleagues to challenge the status quo and contribute to sustainable, future-ready solutions.

To succeed in this role, you bring advanced expertise across several critical domains:
Engineering Applications (e.g., CAD, CAE, HPC, Data Exchange): Deep understanding of engineering IT ecosystems and user needs in R&D environments.
Global Service Delivery & Provider Management: Experience managing international vendor relationships and ensuring high service quality.
Project Management in IT: Skilled in coordinating IT projects, tool deployments, and upgrades in complex environments.
IT Service Management: Proficient in ITIL practices and Agile/Waterfall methodologies to ensure structured service delivery.
Vendor & Contract Management: Able to lead contract discussions, track performance, and manage cost-effective external service engagements.
Risk & Compliance: Strong focus on information security, data privacy, and regulatory alignment in IT operations.
