Senior IT Consultant for Secure Internet Access (TM)

We are seeking a highly skilled and security-focused Secure Internet Access architect to design, manage, and optimize secure internet access solutions across our global enterprise environment. This role ensures, that all outbound and inbound internet traffic is securely managed, monitored, and compliant with industry best practices. In the context of a global and complex network landscape, the service must be maintained with consideration for evolving business requirements, reliability, functionality, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Fortinet security solutions, Cisco networking, cloud-native firewalls (CNF), AWS infrastructure as well as strong foundational knowledge of DNS and Active Directory (AD).

Responsibilities

• Technical design, consulting and 3rd level support for Secure Internet Access frameworks using industry best practices and zero-trust principles
• Firewall Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain FortiGate firewalls and feature-sets, managed via FortiManager and monitored using FortiAnalyzer
• Cloud Integration: Implement and manage secure access in hybrid and cloud environments using Cloud-Native Firewall (CNF) and AWS security services (e.g., AWS WAF, Security Groups, VPCs).
• Network & DNS Security: Monitor and secure DNS traffic, prevent DNS-based threats, and ensure proper DNS configuration for reliability and security.
• Facilitate escalation and problem-solving processes through close collaboration with internal IT teams and external service providers.
• Develop and propose strategies to enhance internet access networks and its security, considering functionality and costs
• Project work in global teams.

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification
• Expert knowledge in the networking area: Network topologies & protocols
• Advanced knowledge with Fortinet products securing Internet Access (FortiGate, FortiProxy on-prem/cloud, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
• Knowledge of cloud native firewalls and their deployment
• Knowledge of ITSM processes
• DevOps / IaC skills are a plus
• Fluent English
• Very good communication skills
• Experience in working as part of a global acting and multicultural team, with international supplier/vendors.
