Senior IT Consultant for Network Performance Manager (TM)

Ihre Aufgaben

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Performance Manager with strong DevOps experience to lead the performance monitoring, analysis, and optimization of our enterprise network. In this role, you will ensure the network operates efficiently, securely, and at peak performance. You will also collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to integrate network operations into automated workflows and modern deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Monitoring & Analysis: Use tools such as Wireshark, OpManager and LiveAction to assess network health, diagnose issues, and ensure performance KPIs are met.
  • DevOps Integration: Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to integrate network monitoring and alerts into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain scripts and tools (e.g., using Python, Bash, Ansible,Terraform) to automate performance monitoring, reporting, and network configuration tasks.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze bandwidth usage, latency, and traffic flow to recommend and implement tuning and upgrades.
  • Incident Management: Lead root cause analysis and resolution of performance-related incidents and outages.
  • Capacity Planning: Evaluate current usage trends and forecast network capacity needs in line with business growth.
  • Reporting: Deliver detailed reports and dashboards on performance metrics, SLAs, and improvement plans to stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure comprehensive documentation and adherence to industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cybersecurity, cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to enhance network observability and security posture.

Ihr Profil

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in network engineering or performance management; 2+ years with DevOps tools and practices.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include CCNP, CompTIA Network+, DevOps (AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps, or similar).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Wireshark, OpManager, and LiveAction
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, QoS, SNMP, VLANs, MPLS
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell (is a plus)
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset.
