Market Demand Manager

A Demand Planning Manager oversees the daily operations of the demand planning department team members as they analyze customer demand to develop and fine tune forecasts. The manager’s responsibilities include reviewing order history, sales history, the marketing strategies the company has used to promote products and stimulate growth and, ultimately, evaluating their effectiveness.
- Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns and subsequently implement solutions to improve the accuracy of demand forecasting
- Employee recruitment, performance evaluation, promotion, training and retention activities
- Oversee the customer collaboration process
- Scheduling regular forecast review meetings with management
- Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns
- Identify risks of forecast to historical trends and performance
- Ongoing development of Demand Planning tools / systems and processes to business excellence and propose corrective actions
- Maintain KPIs – Forecast Accuracy, DC Forecast, and other KPIs as set by management
- Maintain training materials and organizing trainings to team members
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
- Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management
- Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
- Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities
- Conduct monthly forecast meeting with Sales and Supply Chain.
- Maintain monthly demand forecast
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner to management
- Assist in developing annual budgets, RICP and strategy planning
- Analyze and communicate production commitments against sales forecasts
A successful demand planning manager is highly analytical with in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical and forecasting policies. In addition, strong communication and stakeholder engagement are critical to success, which includes the ability to effectively partner and collaborate with those leading and working on the commercial side of the business i.e. sales, marketing, finance, operations, and supply chain.
Ihr Profil
BASIC:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Business related
- 7+ years or related professional experience
- 5+ years of demand planning experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience, managing people
- Excel proficient
- Statistical/Forecasting experience
- Working knowledge of CPFR (Collaboration, Planning, Forecasting, Replenishment)
- Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.
- A relocation package is offered to internal employees only; however, the position can be eligible for a sign on bonus to external candidates
PREFERRED:
- Master's Degree
- 10+ years or related professional experience
- Preferred to be IBF Certified (International Business Forecaster)
- SAP APO DP or other forecasting tools experience
- Supply Chain or Sales experience
