THE POSITION
Core Responsibilities:
• Work closely with global segment/customer management to develop customer related product, technology and platform strategies. Communicate and drive strategies with Product Development Centers.
• Customer specific care of application engineering for all products offered by BA UX (Display Solutions, Head-Up Displays, Digital Clusters and Software as a product).
• Coordination of engineering budgeting and planning. Ensure distribution of segment funds across the different Product Development Centers (PDCs) based on sales planning. Work with PDC heads and Lean Agile Leaders to develop regional resource and skill planning to support customer portfolio strategies. Work with financial controlling to monitor and manage project spending.
• Lead customer requirements engineering team. Team is responsible for capturing, documenting, communicating, and ensuring compliance with written and unwritten customer requirements and expectations to the Product Development Centers.
• Responsible for steering authority to product development teams of all customer products.
• Analyze and review product and technology roadmaps of the Product Development Centers. Communicate to global segment/customer management and incorporate into customer strategies.
• Lead product quotation teams in the preparation and presentation of all quoted solutions.
• Negotiate and coordinate advanced development projects between PDCs and customers.
• Presentation of product concepts and roadmaps at the relevant OEM customer(s). Support marketing and tech days.
• Provide primary interface to customer engineering management for all product development issues. Ensure proper escalation and follow up. Support the PMs of the respective segment in addressing escalation or cross project topics in engineering
• Drive segment and customer Re-Design To Cost goals into PDCs
• Oversee proper communication and coordination of PCNs & PTNs with customer in alignment with PM
• Capture and ensure read-across of customer specific lessons learned over regions and PDCs
• Ensure design quality and engineering excellence in all customer deliveries (internal and external).
• Support of new projects regarding technical concepts.
• Review, implement and secure management procedures (relevant elements from quality management in cooperation with quality assurance, R&D management).
• Support Quality and R&D team on Series production 0km and Warranty issue investigations and communication with OEM management as necessary.

Ihr Profil
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ME, EE, SW, or Relevant)
• 7+ years’ experience in technical project leadership to project management and/or engineering management
• 5 years of experience managing global engineering organization.
• Automotive industry / OEM customer know-how (strategies, technologies, business perspectives, design & styling)
• Proven ability to manage international development teams to achieve effective relationships
• Understanding the culture of international teams
• Ability to manage team performance to deliver engineering excellence
• Excellent Presentation, moderation & leadership skills (OEM customer, Conferences,..)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and develop others to deliver results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years’ experience leading teams
