Position Overview
The Product and Process Industrialization / Quality Intern will support continuous improvement (PPI) and quality activities within the manufacturing plant. This role involves hands‑on experience in product and process industrialization, data analytics, problem‑solving, and quality systems while contributing to initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure product conformity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with collecting, analyzing, and reporting process and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in root‑cause investigations using continuous improvement tools.
- Support PPI projects focused on reducing variation, improving workflow efficiency, and strengthening overall operational performance.
- Help maintain quality documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and control plans.
- Conduct audits on processes, work areas, or documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to validate corrective and preventive actions.
Your profile
Qualifications
- Must be currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret data.
- Familiarity with basic continuous improvement or Lean concepts preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Learning Opportunities
- Exposure to quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Hands‑on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and root‑cause problem‑solving tools.
- Opportunity to work closely with quality engineers, operations teams, and plant leadership.
