Blow Mold Fitter Operator I (BMD2 6am-6pm)

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

1. Conduct machine adjustments and part inspections as required.
2. Reference set up sheets, set up checklists, SOPs, and other documentation detailing specifications, processes, and equipment requirements.
3. Communicate any deviations including damage, safety, or other topics that impact productivity, quality, and safety.
4. Support department personnel with technical advice and assistance as needed performing their tasks.
5. Assist in on-the-job training of Blow Mold Machine Training Lv.1, Lv.2 and Lv. 3, including employees that have been hired, transferred, or were promoted.
6. Work with internal project teams to further develop project range and production processes.
7. Ensure machine vent waste and tail scrap is disposed in designated bins.
8. Solve smaller technical issues and coordinate actions with Maintenance and Engineering as needed.
9. Support continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Maintain a clean workspace including housekeeping and cleanliness and incorporate 5 S (everything has a place) into the work environment, including storage locations.

THE ENVIRONMENT

• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as safety glasses, steel, or composite toe shoes, and in limited cases hearing protection.
• We are a 24/7 Facility and have many different shifts. Here are the hours associated with each:
  • Blow Mold Schedule [2/2/3 rotating 12 hour. This means 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, then it will switch. This position is expected to work every other weekend based on schedule]
    • BMD1/D2 is the day shift operating from 6am-6pm
    • BMN1/N2 is the night shift operating from 6pm-6am
  • Our 8 hour shifts are as follows:
    • FEM1 - 1st shift 7am-3pm
    • FEM2- 2nd shift 3pm-11pm
    • FEM3- 3rd shift 11pm-7am
• The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. 
• The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE 

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, advanced education in a mechanical field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 6 Months as Production Operator IV.
• Technical Skills: Basic math and computer skills required.  Understanding of basic statistical concepts. Certification for BM Machine Training Lv. 1, 2, 3 and Machine Fitter Level 1 are mandatory. PIT experience preferred.
• Other Skills / Abilities: Ability to multitask and have strong problem-solving skills will be advantageous. Must speak English and have good communication skills.
